Kansas City has been just as excited to welcome Argentina, Ecuador, Curacao, Algeria, Tunisa and the Netherlands for their group stage matches in the metro.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Over the last two weeks, Kansas City has turned green, yellow, blue and on Thursday, orange.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGo Dutchies, come on!\u201d Netherlands fan Roel VanHoogsteraten said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The city has fully embraced what it means to be the soccer capital of the United States.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s hard to put into words, honestly,\u201d TAPS on Main co-owner Grant Tower said. \u201cThis isn\u2019t something we\u2019ll ever see again in this city and we\u2019ll never see anything like it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those who are visiting are getting to know Midwestern hospitality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are having a really beautiful time,\u201d VanHoogsteraten said. \u201c99.99% of people are good once you realize we are all really the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kansas City has celebrated across language barriers with the people from countries who have come to play and visit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook at the culture, the environment, it\u2019s beautiful,\u201d Ecuador fan Julian Mancero said. \u201cThis is something really special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If you head to Kansas City\u2019s downtown district on a match day, you\u2019ll find people dancing in circles, coming together and celebrating the beautiful game.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s the way it should be,\u201d Kansas City resident Stephanie Grgas said. \u201cEverybody\u2019s united and having a great time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The only downfall? We\u2019re almost at the halfway point for the World Cup.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m going to miss it when it\u2019s gone,\u201d Kansas City resident Joel Camper said. \u201cWe have 39 days of it and I\u2019ve enjoyed every day so far.
