In particular, investors remain focused on developments in the Middle East, where signs of a possible resumption of negotiations between Washington and Tehran are intertwined with persistent tensions along the Strait of Hormuz.

Against this heterogeneous backdrop, Piazza Affari is showing a bearish trend, with the MIB holding just below the 48,100-point level.

On the macro front, Eurozone data indicate a cyclical recovery but a dynamic that remains fragile in the medium term. The Mid-Cap is above par at 57,558.32, the Small-Cap is up 0.7% at 34,623.87, while Italy Growth is up 0.3% at 8,721.25.

London’s FTSE 100 is up 0.1%, as is Frankfurt’s DAX 40, while the Paris CAC 40 is down 0.6%.

On the Mib, Stellantis – up 2.9% – announced that estimated deliveries for the first quarter amounted to nearly 1.4 million vehicles, with growth across all regions. The focus of analysts, led by Gabriele Gambarova, is on Amazon’s USD11.57 billion acquisition of Globalstar, a move that significantly strengthens the US group’s strategy in the low-earth orbit satellite segment.

Italgas is down 0.6% at EUR10.42 per share. Berenberg confirmed its “hold” recommendation on Italgas with an unchanged target price of EUR11.00, against a market price of EUR10.485 as of April 14.
