GUADALUPE, Mexico (AP) \u2014 The Netherlands and Morocco were deadlocked 1-1 heading into extra time in the World Cup Round of 32 on Monday night.<\/p>\n

Cody Gakpo scored in the 72nd minute for the Dutch. After the goal, which was assisted by Crysencio Summerville, the Dutch bench ran onto the field to embrace the 27-year-old Gakpo, who broke down in tears. Gakpo and his partner, Noa van der Bij, recently announced that they lost their unborn child.<\/p>\n

Morocco’s Issa Diop tied it in the 91st minute, heading in a cross from Chemsdine Talbi.<\/p>\n

The teams entered with the highest combined ranking of any Round of 32 match. Morocco was sixth in the world and the Netherlands were seventh.<\/p>\n

NEW YORK (AP) \u2014 New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. left Monday night\u2019s game against the Detroit Tigers following a violent collision with right fielder Jasson Dom\u00ednguez and was placed in concussion protocol.<\/p>\n

With the Yankees down 7-0 in the fourth inning, Hao-Yu Lee hit a high popup to shallow right field. Chisholm ran back and attempted to make the catch but Dom\u00ednguez charged in and caught the ball as his glove struck Chisholm in the face.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not sure exactly what happened,\u201d manager Aaron Boone said after a 7-3 loss sent the Yankees to their fifth straight defeat. \u201cObviously we\u2019re playing the infield in, so it\u2019s a little bit that no-man\u2019s land. I think JD called it late. I don\u2019t know if he didn\u2019t hear.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chisholm immediately fell down on the grass and was on his back for several minutes as Boone and athletic trainer Tim Lentych checked on him. After a few minutes, Chisholm stood up and walked slowly off the field under his own power. He was replaced at second base by Oswaldo Cabrera.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was really unfortunate,\u201d Dom\u00ednguez said. \u201cThey were playing infield in. In my mind, I’ve got to go catch the ball. I called it, but obviously I didn’t call it loud enough. But really unfortunate what happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dom\u00ednguez remained in the game and crashed hard into the outfield wall on the next play while catching Kerry Carpenter’s drive to end the fourth.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy elbow kind of went into my belly,\u201d Dom\u00ednguez said. \u201cI was just out of breath. I’m OK.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chisholm struck out in his only at-bat and is hitting .222 with 12 homers and 33 RBIs in 81 games this season.<\/p>\n

He was ejected Sunday night from New York\u2019s 5-4, 10-inning loss in Boston by first base umpire Todd Tichenor when he spiked his helmet in the dirt behind home plate following a strikeout on a check-swing against Sonny Gray.<\/p>\n
