REUTERS\/Dado Ruvic\/Illustration<a id=\"20192209\" type=\"General\" weightage=\"100\" keywordseo=\"NXP-Semiconductors\" source=\"keywords\" meta.keywordsubtype=\"org\" meta.entityname=\"NXP Semiconductors\" meta.hostid=\"268\" class=\"news-keywords\" href=\"https:\/\/manufacturing.economictimes.indiatimes.com\/tag\/nxp+semiconductors\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NXP Semiconductors<\/a> forecast quarterly revenue above estimates on Tuesday, signaling robust demand for its chips used in the automotive, industrial and data center markets.<\/p>\n<p>NXP&#8217;s \u200cgains in \u2060areas \u2060such as <a id=\"20556204\" type=\"General\" weightage=\"20\" keywordseo=\"software-defined-vehicles\" source=\"keywords\" class=\"news-keywords\" href=\"https:\/\/manufacturing.economictimes.indiatimes.com\/tag\/software-defined+vehicles\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">software-defined vehicles<\/a>, radar and electrification have helped the automotive unit counter sluggish global vehicle production.<\/p>\n<p>It expects third-quarter revenue of between $3.65 billion and $3.85 billion, the midpoint of which is above \u2060analysts&#8217; average estimate \u200cof $3.69 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.<\/p>\n<p>Adjusted profit is \u2060expected to be between $3.89 and $4.32 per share, compared with estimates of $3.98.<\/p>\n<p>Growth has also been bolstered by its expanding data center business, as it ramps up offerings for AI-related infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Underlying these results, AI is moving \u200cfrom the cloud into the physical world &#8211; into vehicles, factories, and robots &#8211; and it lands \u2060directly in the markets where NXP has leadership positions,&#8221; CEO Rafael Sotomayor said.<\/p>\n<p>Second-quarter revenue rose 19% to $3.50 billion, compared with estimates of $3.46 billion.
