Stellantis and Microsoft have agreed a five-year collaboration to advance digital capabilities using artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and cloud technologies.<\/p>\n
The partnership will see joint teams work across more than 100 AI initiatives spanning sales, customer care, product development and operations.<\/p>\n
Key workstreams include AI-assisted product validation, predictive maintenance, and accelerated rollout of digital features and services.<\/p>\n
The carmaker also aims to use encrypted data insights to improve customer-focused offerings, including energy efficiency guidance and vehicle health monitoring.<\/p>\n
Stellantis chief engineering & technology officer Ned Curic said: \u201cAs AI rapidly advances, we have been early adopters across our business, from engineering and manufacturing to design and customer interaction, embedding AI directly into our vehicles, from the new digital cabin to the core vehicle Operating System.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough our collaboration with Microsoft, we are accelerating our AI momentum across the enterprise, giving our teams the tools to innovate faster and deliver the products, services and experiences customers expect from us.\u201d<\/p>\n
A dedicated AI-driven global cyber defence centre forms a core element of the agreement, covering connected vehicles, manufacturing sites, IT systems and digital products.<\/p>\n
The centre is intended to sharpen threat detection, bolster data protection and improve operational resilience across Stellantis’ worldwide footprint.<\/p>\n
On the infrastructure side, Stellantis will migrate to Microsoft Azure with a target of cutting its datacentre footprint by 60% by 2029, aimed at improving scalability and the delivery of connected services.<\/p>\n
Stellantis is also equipping its workforce with enterprise AI tools, with all employees receiving access to Copilot Chat.<\/p>\n
An initial 20,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot licences have been allocated to selected roles, backed by a dedicated training programme.<\/p>\n
The agreement extends an existing relationship between the two companies, combining Stellantis’ automotive engineering capabilities with Microsoft’s cloud, AI and security platforms.<\/p>\n
