Stellantis recall overview:<\/p>\n

Who: Stellantis is recalling more than 955,000 vehicles, including Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge, Jeep and Ram models.<\/p>\n

Why: A radio software defect may prevent the rearview camera from displaying images.<\/p>\n

Where: The recall is effective worldwide, with 848,000 vehicles in the United States and 107,000 in Canada, Mexico and other markets.<\/p>\n

Stellantis is recalling more than 955,000 vehicles globally due to a software issue that could impair the functionality of rearview cameras.<\/p>\n

Announced on Aug.17, the Stellantis recall affects a wide range of models, including the Chrysler Pacifica.<\/p>\n

Affected vehicles include<\/a> various 2026 and 2027 model year Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager minivans, Dodge Charger, multiple Jeep Cherokee models and Ram 1500 pickups, among others.<\/p>\n

According to the recall, the radio software may disrupt the rearview camera display, potentially compromising driver visibility when reversing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the rearview camera image does not appear, drivers should remain aware of their surroundings and use their rearview and side mirrors when reversing,\u201d Stellantis advised. The company has not reported any accidents or injuries related to this issue.<\/p>\n

Stellantis to issue software update to fix rearview camera glitch<\/p>\n

Stellantis states that it plans to fix the issue through an over-the-air software update. Owners will receive a notification on their vehicle\u2019s media screen once the update is available.<\/p>\n

For more information about the Stellantis recall, consumers can expect to receive notices by post starting in September, with further instructions provided.<\/p>\n

Stellantis says it has not received any reports of accidents or injuries related to the recall so far. The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.<\/p>\n

In other FCA US news, Chrysler is facing a class action lawsuit alleging it sold Lear vehicles with defective seat height adjusters while concealing the alleged risk of injury or death<\/a> from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.<\/p>\n
