TUI fly (Netherlands)<\/a> (OR, Amsterdam Schiphol<\/a>) has announced it will retire its fleet of six B737-8<\/a>s in 2027, replacing them with larger B737-10<\/a>s as part of a fleet expansion that will see the addition of a seventh B737 MAX<\/a> aircraft.<\/p>\n

The airline expects to introduce its first B737-10 during the first quarter of 2027, subject to certification, with the new type entering service in the 2027 summer season.<\/p>\n

In a statement, CCO Peter Glade said the first B737-10 for the TUI fly fleet is already in production at Boeing<\/a>‘s Seattle facility. The larger aircraft will increase seat capacity and support the carrier’s plans to expand operations on high-demand leisure routes.<\/p>\n

The fleet renewal underpins a broader network strategy aimed at increasing direct services and frequencies to popular destinations, particularly the ABC islands (Aruba<\/a>, Bonaire<\/a>, Cura\u00e7ao<\/a>). TUI fly (Netherlands) will also shift capacity away from smaller markets previously served through triangular routings, focusing instead on nonstop services while continuing to offer many of the discontinued destinations through partner airlines.<\/p>\n

The airline’s in-house fleet also includes four B787-8<\/a>s.
