NXP Semiconductors reported revenues of $3.50 billion, up 19.5% year on year. This print exceeded analysts’ expectations by 0.8%. Overall, it was a strong quarter for the company with a meaningful improvement in its inventory levels and a decent beat of analysts’ operating income estimates. <\/p>\n

Founded in 1997 by its longtime CEO Michael Hsing, Monolithic Power Systems (NASDAQ:MPWR) is an analog and mixed signal chipmaker that specializes in power management chips meant to minimize total energy consumption. <\/p>\n

Monolithic Power Systems reported revenues of $980.6 million, up 47.6% year on year, outperforming analysts’ expectations by 8.6%. The business had an incredible quarter with a significant improvement in its inventory levels and a beat of analysts’ EPS estimates. <\/p>\n

Taiwan-based Himax Technologies (NASDAQ:HIMX) is a leading manufacturer of display driver chips and timing controllers used in TVs, laptops, and mobile phones. <\/p>\n

Himax reported revenues of $227.4 million, up 5.9% year on year, exceeding analysts’ expectations by 2%. Still, it was a slower quarter as it posted EPS in line with analysts’ estimates. <\/p>\n

Interestingly, the stock is up 4.4% since the results and currently trades at $13.94. <\/p>\n

MACOM (NASDAQ:MTSI) <\/p>\n

Founded in the 1950s as Microwave Associates, a communications supplier to the US Army Signal Corp, today MACOM Technology Solutions (NASDAQ: MTSI) is a provider of analog chips used in optical, wireless, and satellite networks. <\/p>\n

MACOM reported revenues of $342.2 million, up 35.8% year on year. This number surpassed analysts’ expectations by 1.9%. It was a very strong quarter as it also logged revenue guidance for next quarter exceeding analysts’ expectations and a solid beat of analysts’ operating income estimates. <\/p>\n

The stock is up 3.8% since reporting and currently trades at $273.58. <\/p>\n

Impinj (NASDAQ:PI) <\/p>\n

Founded by Caltech professor Carver Mead and one of his students Chris Diorio, Impinj (NASDAQ:PI) is a maker of radio-frequency identification (RFID) hardware and software. <\/p>\n

Impinj reported revenues of $108.4 million, up 10.7% year on year. This result beat analysts’ expectations by 3.5%. Overall, it was a stunning quarter as it also recorded a significant improvement in its inventory levels and a beat of analysts’ EPS estimates. <\/p>\n

The stock is up 17.3% since reporting and currently trades at $163.43. <\/p>\n
