{"id":44159,"date":"2026-09-08T17:34:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-08T17:34:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/44159\/"},"modified":"2026-09-08T17:34:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T17:34:09","slug":"aircairo-orders-15-airbus-a320neo-jets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/44159\/","title":{"rendered":"AIRCAIRO orders 15 Airbus A320neo jets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AIRCAIRO has marked a significant milestone in its growth strategy this week after placing a firm order for 15 <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/tag\/a320neo\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"1783\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Airbus A320neo<\/a> aircraft.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agreement, signed at the El Alamein International Airshow on 8 September, represents AIRCAIRO\u2019s first direct order with <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/tag\/airbus-2\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"11709\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Airbus<\/a>. The jets will join its existing leased fleet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hussein Sherif, Chairman &amp; CEO of AIRCAIRO said, \u201cThis agreement represents a natural next step in AIRCAIRO\u2019s growth. Combining owned aircraft with our leased fleet gives us greater operational flexibility and financial efficiency as we scale up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>AIRCAIRO signs first Airbus aircraft deal<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Founded in 2003, AIRCAIRO serves more than 60 destinations across Europe and the Middle East. However, the carrier is looking to expand its international network by adding the new-generation narrowbodies to its fleet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe A320neo will provide the capacity needed to expand our network, serve the growing demand for travel to and from Egypt, and support the country\u2019s aviation and tourism sectors in close partnership with Airbus\u201d, adds Sherif.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/A320-neo-in-fight-Emma-Lewis-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"A320neo in fight\" class=\"wp-image-48806\"  \/>Photo: Emma Lewis<\/p>\n<p>How AIRCAIRO plans to triple its fleet by 2034<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Egyptian carrier has grown from seven aircraft in 2021 to a fleet of over 45 aircraft today. It has big ambitions, and plans to grow to a fleet of over 130 aircraft by 2034.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This week\u2019s firm order for 15 A320neos will mean extra capacity while giving the airline the flexibility and operational efficiency needed to expand across domestic, regional, and international networks.<\/p>\n<p>Why the Airbus A320neo?<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/tag\/airbus-a320\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Airbus A320<\/a> family is the <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/news\/how-long-build-airbus-a320-neo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">best-selling commercial airliner ever built<\/a>, and airlines are still ordering them in huge numbers.\u00a0The <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/news\/airbus-100-aircraft-month-2026-delivery-target\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">latest figures from Airbus<\/a> reveal they delivered 26 A320neos in August.
