<\/p>\nMONTREAL \u2014 Air France-KLM\u2019s General Manager for Canada, Jean-Eudes de la Bret\u00e8che, has announced his departure from Montreal.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In a LinkedIn post titled \u201cNew day, new city, new challenge!\u201d, de la Bret\u00e8che, who had held the position since September 2022, said he was more than pleased with his time in the Quebec metropolis.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter four incredible years, I am immensely proud and grateful to have had the opportunity to represent Air France and KLM in such an important market for the Group,\u201d he said. \u201cI had the privilege of working alongside great teams, in Montreal and at each of our seven stations, and of collaborating with exceptional partners across this magnificent country.\u201d<\/p>\n

A BUSY TENURE<\/p>\n
During his time in Montreal, de la Bret\u00e8che was on hand for celebrations marking Air France\u2019s 75th anniversary in Montreal, as well as the airline\u2019s 90th anniversary, which was celebrated with numerous events in France and around the world, along with the creation of a mural in Montreal.<\/p>\n
He was also in the role when dishes created by chef Olivier Perret were introduced in Air France Business Class on departures from Canada.<\/p>\n
He began his career with the Air France-KLM Group in Paris in 2009 before serving as a project manager for the President of Air France. In 2013, he was appointed Chief of Staff to the EVP, Commercial, before moving to Tokyo in 2014 as Commercial Director, with responsibility for the markets of Japan, Korea and New Caledonia. Returning to Paris in 2017, he was appointed Director of Alliances for the Americas, where he coordinated management of the transatlantic joint venture with Delta and Virgin Atlantic. He also negotiated Air France-KLM\u2019s commercial agreements with its North American partners, including WestJet and AeroMexico.<\/p>\n

HELLO AMSTERDAM<\/p>\n
Following Montreal, de la Bret\u00e8che will take on a similar role in Amsterdam as the Group\u2019s Director of Business Development.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn this role, I will work to drive business performance across a broad range of markets spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America,\u201d he said. \u201cA new city, a new challenge, and a great opportunity to take on a broader international role.\u201d<\/p>\n
De la Bret\u00e8che thanked those he worked with during his time in Montreal.<\/p>\n
\u201cA huge thank you to everyone who made this Canadian adventure such a rewarding experience, both professionally and personally: our teams, our customers, our partners, and all the colleagues from New York to Montreal with whom I had the pleasure of working over the past four years.\u201d<\/p>\n
The name of his replacement in Canada will be announced shortly.<\/p>\n
