Stellantis’ boss of fleet operations, Jeff Hines, is out of the company.<\/p>\n
Hines, who has been with Stellantis for over 20 years, exited the company on Friday, April 17. The reason for his departure is undisclosed.<\/p>\n
In a brief email to the Detroit Free Press, Stellantis spokesperson Jodi Tinson confirmed that Hines is no longer with the automaker.<\/p>\n
“Stellantis confirms that, effective April 17, Jeff Hines has left the company. We thank him for his dedicated service and wish him continued success,” Tinson said.<\/p>\n
Hines did not immediately respond to a Free Press request for comment.<\/p>\n
Leadership changes under new CEO Antonio Filosa<\/p>\n
The news of Hines’ exit follows a recent announcement from the company that Jeff Kommor, who long served as Stellantis’ head of U.S. sales, would also be leaving. Stellantis said in a news release on April 17 that Kommor would be retiring and handing his duties off to Michael Orange, who is leaving Hyundai to lead sales in Auburn Hills.<\/p>\n
Since taking office, CEO Antonio Filosa has made some significant changes to the automaker’s leadership. Filosa took over for former CEO Carlos Tavares, who resigned at the end of 2024 following a rough three-year term.<\/p>\n

On May 21, the automaker said, it will unveil the entirety of its new strategic plan as it attempts to turn around after years of losing market share.<\/p>\n Jeff Hines\u2019 roles at Stellantis and Canada controversy<\/p>\n Hines held a variety of roles in the Stellantis leadership suite. Most recently, he directed Stellantis Pro One, the company’s fleet operation. Before that, he was the president of Stellantis’ Canadian operations. Stellantis is in hot water with the Canadian government<\/a> over its reneging on an agreement to build the Jeep Compass in the country, pledging instead to produce the vehicle in Belvidere, Illinois.<\/p>\n The decision, made in October 2025, was met with ire from Canadian Stellantis employees<\/a>, union leaders and the country’s lawmakers. Later that month, as outrage grew against the company, Hines left his post as the president of Canadian operations and shifted to his role directing fleet operations.<\/p>\n It is unclear who will take Hines’ position directing fleet services at the automaker.<\/p>\n Free Press staff writer Jamie L.
