Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 20,271 units of its 2024 to 2025 Jeep\u00ae Wagoneer S (KX) and Dodge Charger Daytona electric vehicles (EVs) due to a software error that may cause the instrument panel cluster (IPC) display to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) No. 108, \u201cLamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment\u201d<\/a>; No. 126, \u201cElectronic Stability Control Systems for Light Vehicles\u201d<\/a>; No. 135, \u201cLight Vehicle Brake Systems\u201d<\/a>; No. 138, \u201cTire Pressure Monitoring System\u201d<\/a>; and\/or No. 208, \u201cOccupant Crash Protection.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

According to the filings, an IPC display that fails to show critical safety information\u2014such as BRAKE, ESC, and TPMS system warning lights, as well as the gear selection indicator\u2014may cause a driver to operate the vehicle in a compromised condition, increasing the risk of a crash without prior warning.<\/p>\n

The report says that potentially 11,743 Jeep\u00ae Wagoneer S vehicles from the 2024 to 2025 model year may experience IPC which may not display required indicators and telltales. The suspect period began on March 24, 2024, when the 2024 model year began and ended on November 12, 2025, when 2025 model year vehicle production ended.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There is also potentially 8,528 Dodge Charger Daytona vehicles from the 2024 to 2025 model year may experience IPC which may not display required indicators and telltales. The suspect period began on April 30, 2024, when the 2024 model year began and ended on April 25, 2025, when 2025 model year vehicle production ended<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both suspect periods were determined using vehicle production and engineering change records. There are no similar vehicles not included in this recall.<\/p>\n

On March 10, 2026, the FCA US LLC (\u201cFCA US\u201d) Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance (\u201cTSRC\u201d) organization opened an investigation into inoperative instrument panel clusters in 2024-2025 MY Jeep Wagoneer S and Dodge Charger Daytona vehicles.
\nBetween March 2026 and April 2026, FCA US TSRC met with FCA US Engineering to review the issue, understand potential failure modes, and to determine the suspect population.
\nOn April 1, 2026, FCA US TSRC organization recognized that a vehicle build issue existed on certain vehicles related to inoperative instrument panel clusters potentially resulting in a noncompliance with FMVSS Nos. 571.108, 571.126, 571.135, 571.138, and 571.208.
\nOn April 16, 2026, FCA US determined, through the Vehicle Regulations Committee, that noncompliances to various Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards exist in certain vehicles.<\/p>\n

Dealers will update the instrument panel software free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on May 21, 2026. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA\u2019s recall number for this issue is 39D.<\/p>\n
