NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ:NXPI<\/a>) was among Jim Cramer\u2019s stock calls on Mad Money recently as he recapped mega-cap tech earnings<\/a>. Highlighting the stock\u2019s recent rally, Cramer said:<\/p>\n

Or how about NXP Semi, which rocketed 25% on a shortage of chips for autos. That\u2019s a surprise because NXP\u2019s auto business has long been an albatross around the company\u2019s neck. But now that the cars are filled with software-defined products, NXP is a must.<\/p>\n

NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ:NXPI) provides a range of processing and connectivity solutions, including microcontrollers, application processors, and secure wireless technologies. On January 23, responding to a caller who called chips and related stocks \u201ccyclical,\u201d Cramer remarked:<\/p>\n

They are not cyclical. There are particular ones. NXPI is cyclical. On Semi\u2019s cyclical. Texas Instruments is cyclical. Most of the others are not cyclical. Most of them are secular. Those big three are the three that I would say you can\u2019t possibly buy because you have to buy them and then sell them, and I don\u2019t like that.<\/p>\n
