{"id":7776,"date":"2026-05-01T23:21:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T23:21:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/7776\/"},"modified":"2026-05-01T23:21:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T23:21:08","slug":"beware-the-mass-corruption-of-international-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/7776\/","title":{"rendered":"Beware the mass corruption of &#8216;international law&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The global left loves to invoke \u201cinternational law\u201d in support of its causes, blithely ignoring the corruption of the institutions that supposedly uphold this \u201cmoral order.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The latest example: Not only did Qatar gin up the International Criminal Court\u2019s lawless prosecution of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for alleged \u201cwar crimes,\u201d the Arab petrocracy also reportedly hired high-end private intelligence firms to discredit the Malaysian attorney who accused her boss, ICC prosecutor Karim Khan, of sexual assault.<\/p>\n<p>How damning for the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/11\/21\/opinion\/iccs-attack-on-israel-shows-the-free-worlds-moral-collapse\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">smarmy ICC,<\/a> which bills itself as the most moral arbiter of international criminal law, though none of the world\u2019s most powerful nations recognize its authority or are subject to its jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39252336\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/chief-prosecutor-karim-khan-talks-124894755.jpg\" alt=\"Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan talks before convening the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands, on March 14, 2025.\" class=\"wp-image-39252336\"  \/> AP<\/p>\n<p>Just weeks after he was <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/10\/opinion\/iccs-anti-israel-prosecutor-should-get-the-comeuppance-he-deserves\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">accused of rape in 2024<\/a>, Khan issued arrest warrants against Israeli leaders, allegedly after Qatari leadership promised to \u201clook after\u201d him if he moved against Bibi. <\/p>\n<p>Khan denies all allegations, and his lawyers say he made no deal to press the Bibi charges.<\/p>\n<p>Khan stepped away from the case against Netanyahu in May 2025, pending resolution of his underling\u2019s rape accusations; this month, the court voted to move ahead with disciplinary proceedings against him.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tMore From\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPost Editorial Board<\/p>\n<p>Qatari-paid detective agencies, per the Wall Street Journal, have been sniffing around Khan\u2019s accuser \u2014 a Muslim who is on the record as supporting the case against Netanyahu \u2014 implying that she has Israeli citizenship or at least \u201ca Jewish grandmother.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the \u201csubstance\u201d behind Mayor Zohran Mamdani\u2019s posturing on how he\u2019ll bring New York City \u201cback into compliance\u201d with international law by sending the NYPD to cuff Bibi should he dare come to town.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/03\/23\/opinion\/want-to-fight-jew-hate-dems-reject-the-iccs-bibi-blood-libel\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">indictment of Netanyahu<\/a> is clearly so compromised and corrupt that it would\u2019ve been thrown out at the start if the ICC operated under any proper code of justice.<\/p>\n<p>But the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/01\/10\/opinion\/the-senate-should-move-fast-to-pass-icc-sanctions-bill\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ICC, like other instruments of global authority<\/a>, is accountable only to bureaucrats in Geneva, Turtle Bay and The Hague, the seats of the collective fantasy of \u201cinternational law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Properly speaking, law is how sovereigns maintain order, but no sovereign world body of any kind exists; the United Nations is just a debating society loosely linked to an utterly unaccountable bureaucracy. <\/p>\n<p>The farce of global governance reached peak absurdity this week when Iran \u2014 yes, that Iran \u2014 was nominated and selected to serve as a vice president at the UN nuclear non-proliferation conference.<\/p>\n<p>The Islamic Republic\u2019s pursuit of nuclear weapons is notorious, but facts matter nothing in the UN halls; deference to the diplomatic dignity of tyrants trumps reason or reality, every time.<\/p>\n<p>That the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine directly employed Hamas militants who joined in the Oct. 7, 2023, atrocities is further proof how these international bodies simply serve as skinsuits for criminals and terrorists to pass as elevated humanitarians.<\/p>\n<p>The United States was wise not to join the Rome Statutes that authorize the ICC;
