{"id":8644,"date":"2026-05-05T19:02:19","date_gmt":"2026-05-05T19:02:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/8644\/"},"modified":"2026-05-05T19:02:19","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T19:02:19","slug":"azorra-acquires-daes-airbus-a220-orderbook","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/8644\/","title":{"rendered":"Azorra acquires DAE\u2019s Airbus A220 orderbook"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Azorra today announced that it has acquired an orderbook of Airbus A220-300\u2019s from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE).<\/p>\n<p>The acquisition comprises eight A220-300 aircraft, including two that are currently on lease to TAAG Angola Airlines, marking Azorra\u2019s first aircraft on lease with the carrier.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining six aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2027 and 2028, increasing Azorra\u2019s total A220-300 commitments to 15 aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>The A220s will be powered by Pratt &amp; Whitney PW1500G engines and placed with airline customers globally.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Zavatsky, VP Commercial at Azorra, says: \u201cAcquiring DAE\u2019s A220 orderbook strengthens our position in the small narrowbody segment and reflects growing demand for new generation, fuel efficient aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe assignment of these aircraft underscores our long-standing partnership with Airbus and DAE, as well as our capacity to deploy capital at scale.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe A220 has already proven to be a highly efficient and desirable aircraft for airlines globally, and we are strong believers in the program and its compelling economics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur expanding small narrowbody portfolio firmly establishes Azorra as a leading lessor in the A220 segment.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Azorra today announced that it has acquired an orderbook of Airbus A220-300\u2019s from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE).
