Joe Rogan is weighing in on the latest controversy surrounding President Donald Trump.
In an interview with fellow comedian Joe DeRosa on Thursday, Rogan commented on reports that Trump, amid a threat to Air Force One, was secretly moved to a different plane while staff and journalists remained on Air Force One, hiding his location for hours.
“So imagine, Trump put the press on Air Force One, and they were thinking about possibly targeting them,” Rogan said in a clip shared on X. “If that’s true, that is so wild that he didn’t even tell them. Holy s—. Those press people were signing up for something they didn’t know.”
According to the Washington Post Monday, Trump was moved from Turkey to an Air Force C-32A via an airport catering truck while journalists and senior staff remained on a Boeing 747-8 jet gifted by Qatar, believing the president was aboard. The operation followed a NATO summit and kept Trump’s actual location hidden from the public and many senior U.S. officials for hours.
White House communications director Steven Cheung did not deny the details but defended the administration’s security protocols.
“The new Air Force One is a state-of-the-art aircraft that has been fitted with high-level security protocols that ensure the safety of the President and his staff,” Cheung said in a statement. “As the President has said recently, there are many enemies of America who have their sights on him, and we use every tool at our disposal to address those threats.”
