Trump\u2019s stream of invective via social media is bad and getting worse, they all agreed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But they resolved they couldn&#8217;t consent to the U.S. president\u2019s demands to join the fighting against Iran.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/GettyImages-2242496697-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8212292\"  \/>Spain&#8217;s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez speaks with Italy&#8217;s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during a working dinner on Oct. 23, 2025. | Pool photo by Fran\u00e7ois Walschaerts via AFP\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all want the war to end but we are not on the same page as the U.S.,\u201d said one official briefed on the discussions.
