\u00a0threw out\u00a0<\/a>10 of Lively\u2019s 13 claims against Baldoni, her co-star in \u201cIt Ends With Us,\u201d including sexual harassment, defamation and conspiracy, according to court docs obtained by Page Six, in a major blow to her side.<\/p>\nThree of the \u201cGossip Girl\u201d star\u2019s claims can proceed \u2014 breach of contract, retaliation and aiding and abetting in retaliation.<\/p>\n

When we asked a top Hollywood legal eagle (who\u2019s\u00a0not\u00a0involved in the case) of the ruling, they told us of Liman: \u201cThis is a real judge who\u2019s a former federal prosecutor. It seems clear that he\u2019s saying, \u2018a pox on both of your houses,’\u201d to borrow from Shakespeare in a legal saga that\u2019s rivaled the Bard\u2019s yarns.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThis should have been settled a while ago, and the judge will be perturbed if it isn\u2019t,\u201d the independent attorney added.<\/p>\n

Lively filed her initial complaint accusing Baldoni of harassment and other claims on the set of \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d on Dec. 31, 2024. The star also alleged in her suit that she\u2019d suffered at least $161 million in lost earnings and damages due to a smear campaign launched against her when the film came out.<\/p>\n
Baldoni denied Lively\u2019s allegations and countersued Lively \u2014 as well as her movie star husband,\u00a0Ryan Reynolds\u00a0\u2014 for $400 million, but that lawsuit was tossed out last June, also by Liman.<\/p>\n

Said a legal source: \u201cRemember, [Liman] threw out all of Baldoni\u2019s splashy counter claims? And [now he has thrown out] many of her claims. I think the judge feels like he has more significant matters to try in his courtroom. He is sort of signaling that this is a case they should settle.\u201d The law pro called it the whole thing, \u201ca loss for both sides.\u201d<\/p>\n
A source said that when Liman also previously moved the trial date from March to May, it was another sign to the parties to settle the matter.<\/p>\n

A seasoned legal source added more bluntly, \u201cIt\u2019s a stupid case. She filed the lawsuit for all the wrong reasons and went to court to try to redeem her reputation, and it hasn\u2019t worked out.\u201d<\/p>\n
But it seems the parties aren\u2019t taking the hint.<\/p>\n
Lively\u2019s lawyer said in a statement to P6H: \u201cShe looks forward to testifying at trial and continuing to shine a light on this vicious form of online retaliation so that it becomes easier to detect and fight.\u201d<\/p>\n
