The Israeli military this morning said it has killed over 10 Hezbollah operatives and struck some 40 sites in Lebanon over the weekend.<\/p>\n

It said the airstrikes targeted buildings used by Hezbollah, weapons depots, a rocket launcher, and other infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The operatives were struck after being identified near Israeli troops, it claimed <\/p>\n

<\/a>Qatar LNG tanker crosses Strait of Hormuz<\/p>\n

A Qatari tanker carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) crossed the Strait of Hormuz this morning, according to shipping data.<\/p>\n

The Al Kharaitiyat tanker, which is en route to Pakistan, was approved for passage by Iran to build confidence with Qatar and Pakistan, both mediators in the war.<\/p>\n

If completed, it would mark the first transit of a Qatari LNG vessel through the strait since the US and Israel started the war on 28 February. <\/p>\n

\u201cAll players and technical staff, especially those who served their military service in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, should be granted visas without problems,\u201d Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran president Mehdi Taj said, according to Iranian media.<\/p>\n

The team represents a country in a fragile ceasefire with the United States after the US and Israel sparked a war with attacks on Iran on 28 February, and whose citizens are subject to a travel ban imposed by the Trump administration.<\/p>\n

\u200bGermany is reviving efforts to buy Tomahawk cruise missiles from the US, the Financial Times reported on Sunday, citing \u2060people with knowledge of Berlin’s strategy.<\/p>\n

The Tomahawk Land Attack Missile is a long-range cruise missile typically launched from sea to attack targets in deep-strike missions.<\/p>\n

In February, \u200cthe Pentagon said \u2060it had signed a seven-year deal with \u2060Raytheon to increase Tomahawk production as its stockpiles have \u200cbeen depleted \u200bby the war \u200cwith Iran.<\/p>\n

Berlin hopes to persuade the Trump administration to agree to the sale of the Tomahawks together with their Typhon ground launchers,the newspaper said.<\/p>\n

Germany’s defence minister Boris Pistorius is planning a trip to Washington, the report said, in a bid to revive Berlin’s proposal to purchase long-range systems, which was first submitted in July last year. A bulk carrier reported being struck by an unknown projectile while sailing 23 nautical miles northeast of Doha, Qatar, the UK Maritime Trade Operations said on Sunday. <\/p>\n

The incident sparked \u200ba \u2060small fire \u200cthat was extinguished, with the vessel’s \u200cmaster reporting no \u200ccasualties or environmental impact, UKMTO said. <\/p>\n

Three Israeli drone strikes on vehicles just south of Beirut on Saturday killed four people while a series of airstrikes on southern Lebanon killed at least 13, including a man and his 12-year-old daughter, state media and the health ministry said.<\/p>\n

The three drone strikes south of Beirut marked another escalation since a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah went into effect on 17 April. Both Israel and Hezbollah have continued their daily attacks despite the truce.<\/p>\n
