Netflix\u2019s \u201cThe Roast of Kevin Hart\u201d on Sunday evening carried some pointed wisecracks, began and ended with star-power appearances by Tom Brady and the Rock, and even featured a burying of the hatchet in the long-running feud between Hart and the fellow comedian Katt Williams.<\/p>\n

Tom Brady<\/p>\n
Hart began the special by declaring his evening would outrank Brady\u2019s, who was roasted on Netflix two years ago<\/a>. As Hart spoke, Brady walked onto the stage.<\/p>\n \u201cAll right, this won\u2019t take long, because, as you guys know, I\u2019m a busy man,\u201d Brady said before alluding to Hart cheating on his wife, Eniko Hart, in 2017. \u201cBut I do have a few words for you before I return to my affairs in Las Vegas. Oh, wait, I\u2019m talking about affairs in Las Vegas. Was that off? Not supposed to talk about affairs in Vegas? I think I broke another rule.\u201d<\/p>\n Brady also joked about the celebrities on the dais, asking who they were and how they got to California. \u201cI thought they shut down Spirit Airlines,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Shane Gillis<\/p>\n Gillis, the night\u2019s host, took aim at Hart\u2019s acting and standards. \u201cWe\u2019re all here to honor Kevin Hart, and what better way to do that than to take a paycheck and pretend that we\u2019re having fun?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Jeff Ross<\/p>\n Ross, the veteran roastmaster who dressed in a red leather suit reminiscent of Eddie Murphy in \u201cDelirious,\u201d<\/a> quipped about Hart\u2019s father, who battled addiction throughout his life. \u201cYour dad was a street hustler and addicted to crack cocaine,\u201d Ross said. \u201cSo, I guess being dependent on the Rock runs in your family.\u201d<\/p>\n Na\u2019im Lynn<\/p>\n Lynn, the comedian and longtime Hart associate, used his time to draw a link between Brady and Hart. \u201cThe only thing you and Tom Brady have in common is you both love your career more than your wife,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n During her time, Handler referenced Hart\u2019s 2013 D.U.I. arrest and a car accident several years later.<\/p>\n \u201cKevin had a D.U.I. in 2013 and a little dipsy-do on Mulholland Drive in 2019,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd then he has the nerve to call one of his movies \u2018Ride Along.\u2019 Even Tiger Woods is like, \u2018No thanks, I\u2019ll walk.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Pete Davidson<\/p>\n
