Right before the start of Organized Team Activities for the Pittsburgh Steelers, too.

Thanks to video shot from outside of Kool Cones in North Park on Friday night around 8:45 p.m. by a user named @brogey412 on X, Rodgers is in the Pittsburgh area.

According to the video from @brogey412, Rodgers was hanging out with fellow quarterback Mason Rudolph, wide receiver Ben Skowronek and tight end Pat Freiermuth.

Take a look.

Rodgers can be seen in the tie-dye hoodie with the beanie hat on, standing next to Rudolph waiting in line.

Previously, reports surfaced that Rodgers was supposed to be in Pittsburgh last weekend to meet with the Steelers during rookie minicamp. However, that never materialized, and reports indicated that the Steelers were unaware of any planned meeting with Rodgers.

After stating multiple times in the offseason that things wouldn’t drag out with Rodgers this offseason, that’s where the Steelers largely find themselves at this point. GM Omar Khan and the Steelers thought they’d get an answer prior to the start of free agency, but didn’t hear anything. Then, they hoped to have an answer before the draft.

That didn’t happen.

Recently, team president and owner Art Rooney II stated he believed the Steelers would hear from Rodgers before the start of OTAs. Those get underway on Monday, May 18, and with Rodgers in town, that could be the case, ending any speculation regarding who the starting quarterback will be in 2026 under first-year head coach Mike McCarthy.

The biggest thing to look for will be how much Rodgers’ contract is worth should he sign with the Steelers. A few weeks ago the Steelers placed a rare UFA tender on Rodgers, protecting themselves in case he were to surprisingly decide to sign elsewhere. That tender came in around $15 million, which is a slight increase from the $13.650 million he played for in 2025, a 10% increase.

NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero stated Friday on the Rich Eisen Show that he believes Rodgers’ contract with the Steelers will start with a “2” in front of it, putting Rodgers in the $20 million range.

It appears that the Aaron Rodgers saga could be coming to a close very soon.
