The Cowboys now pick No. 218 in exchange for No. 225.

The deals come a few months after Dallas traded to acquire both Pro Bowler Kenny Clark and All-Pro Quinnen Williams, revamping the defensive tackle position in a major way, recently signing Otito Ogbonnia to join second-year player Jay Toia as depth, having recently waived Perrion Winfrey.

Odighizuwa, a former third-round pick of the Cowboys in 2021, he was selected out of UCLA as a former First-Team All-Pac 12 talent that, eventually, steadily increased his production at the NFL level and his ability to disrupt games with each passing season.

Despite having to adjust to a one-year scheme under Mike Zimmer, he was still able to notch a career-high in sacks (4.5), tackles (47) and quarterback hits (23 total — 10 more than his second-best season in that category) that season.

This led to the Cowboys awarding him a four-year, $80 million contract extension in March 2025.

His production stalled a bit in 2025, however, as he worked to try and carve a groove out of Matt Eberflus’ system, a tall task, particularly following the additions of Clark and Williams. He will now get a fresh start with the 49ers.

Thomas joined the team last year on a two-year deal, and though he battled injury during the 2025 season, he proved himself a worthy rotational talent, joining Robert Saleh’s group in Nashville — also reuniting with former Cowboys’ defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton (and for the third time in his career), now serving as defensive run game coordinator and defensive line coach for Saleh and the Titans.

The Cowboys will move forward now having a third-round pick, having not had one prior, and $16 million in salary that will be accountable to San Francisco, with Dallas landing $4.75 million in overall cap savings from Odighizuwa’s trade and another $2.5 million by moving on from Thomas.

FRISCO, Texas — For the second and third time in a three-day span, the Dallas Cowboys have struck…

[4
2651,8,9,2673,2650,2653,1695,3320,3326,7
0":"post-3905","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-top-stories","8":"tag-featured-offseason-2026","9":"tag-headlines","10":"tag-news","11":"tag-news-breaking-news","12":"tag-news-free-agency-tracker","13":"tag-news-patrik-walker","14":"tag-news-all-news","15":"tag-osa-odighizuwa","16":"tag-solomon-thomas","17":"tag-top-stories
["GET
