A man carrying a loaded handgun and hollow-point ammunition has been arrested at Donald Trump\u2019s Los Angeles-area golf club, days before a scheduled visit by the US president, local authorities said.<\/p>\n
The man, arrested on Sunday at the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, was identified by the Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department as 38-year-old Jeanine John Taele. The department said he had been seen photographing and filming the grounds while appearing to monitor security preparations ahead of Trump\u2019s scheduled appearance at a Republican Party fundraising dinner on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Deputies said they found a 16-round magazine loaded with ammunition in his pocket, and later recovered a loaded pistol with a round chambered, along with a second loaded magazine, from his vehicle in the golf course car park.<\/p>\n
Officials said Taele had already been under investigation by the El Segundo Police Department over a separate robbery case.<\/p>\n
On Monday, detectives working with the FBI\u2019s Joint Terrorism Task Force searched Taele\u2019s Downey home, where they said they recovered an illegally modified rifle, a second pistol, body armour, high-capacity magazines, bulk ammunition and other radio signal devices and notebooks containing what officials described only as \u201cconcerning statements\u201d.<\/p>\n
The sheriff\u2019s department said it had not identified any credible threat to the public and that Taele is being held without bail while prosecutors weigh charges.<\/p>\n
