{"id":63764,"date":"2026-08-10T21:05:26","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T21:05:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/news\/63764\/"},"modified":"2026-08-10T21:05:26","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T21:05:26","slug":"archer-to-acquire-rival-wisk-as-boeing-broadens-its-asset-sales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/news\/63764\/","title":{"rendered":"Archer to acquire rival Wisk as Boeing broadens its asset sales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theaircurrent.memberful.com\/account\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Log-in here<\/a> if you\u2019re already a subscriber<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"647\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/wisk-archer-cover.jpg\" class=\"attachment-lets-info-up-d1 size-lets-info-up-d1\" alt=\"\"  \/>\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Archer Aviation will acquire Boeing\u2019s Wisk Aero, SkyGrid and Insitu subsidiaries in an all-stock transaction that is poised to make Boeing the largest outside shareholder in the electric vertical take-off and landing developer, the companies announced on Aug. 10.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the deal, Boeing and Archer will enter into a cross-licensing agreement that will allow the aerospace giant to use Wisk\u2019s core autonomous flight technology for its current and future commercial and defense aircraft \u2014 a nod to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/features\/2026-05-11\/boeing-ba-bets-on-next-gen-aircraft-trump-and-china-to-power-comeback?utm_source=website&amp;utm_medium=share&amp;utm_campaign=copy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">growing preparations<\/a> for its eventual 737 successor.
