<\/a><\/p>\nThe National Hurricane Center<\/a> is monitoring a tropical depression and two other tropical waves that could develop in the Atlantic. <\/p>\n Tropical Depression Cristobal<\/p>\n Cristobal was downgraded to a tropical depression in the open Atlantic on Thursday, according to the National Hurricane Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n The center of Cristobal is located about 610 miles west of the Azores.<\/p>\n The system became a named storm on Wednesday morning but has since weakened into a tropical depression.<\/p>\n The depression was moving northeast at about 16 mph, and that general motion is expected to continue through Thursday before it dissipates.<\/p>\n This content is imported from x. Showers and thunderstorms associated with the wave have become somewhat better organized since Wednesday. <\/p>\n Environmental conditions are expected to remain favorable for additional development.
