{"id":68178,"date":"2026-08-20T19:06:15","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T19:06:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/news\/68178\/"},"modified":"2026-08-20T19:06:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T19:06:15","slug":"mclanahans-release-pablo-pledgescobar-shirts-after-penn-state-cocaine-trafficking-bust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/news\/68178\/","title":{"rendered":"McLanahan&#8217;s Release &#8216;Pablo Pledgescobar&#8217; Shirts After Penn State Cocaine Trafficking Bust"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just days after Pennsylvania authorities announced charges against fourteen current and former Penn State students allegedly involved in a cocaine-trafficking operation, McLanahan\u2019s has released shirts referencing the case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The well-known State College retailer, which sells Penn State apparel at its Student Room and Penn State storefronts, added the shirts as the allegations continue to draw attention to the Penn State community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two shirts, which are listed on the website in men\u2019s sizes, read \u201cFree Pablo Pledgescobar\u201d and \u201cSaturdays are for the Kingpin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"530\" height=\"249\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Screenshot-2026-08-20-at-11.30.50-AM.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-720375\"  \/>Courtesy of mclanahans.com<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The designs show a college-age male hitting an eight ball. The term 8 ball of\u00a0cocaine is slang for 3.5 grams of cocaine because it\u2019s equivalent to one-eighth of an ounce of the drug.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">McLanahan\u2019s did not respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The shirts appear to reference Agostino Abbatiello, whom Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday identified as \u201cat the very top\u201d of the drug trafficking ring and described as the largest cocaine distributor for Penn State students by a witness. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abbatiello has gained the nickname \u201cPablo Pledgescobar\u201d on social media since <a href=\"https:\/\/onwardstate.com\/2026\/08\/18\/alleged-penn-state-fraternity-cocaine-trafficking-ring-leader-denied-bail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">he was denied bail on Tuesday<\/a> as a play on the name of the notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abbatiello was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onwardstate.com\/2026\/08\/17\/14-charged-in-cocaine-trafficking-investigation-tied-to-penn-state-fraternities\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">one of 13 former and current Penn State students charged<\/a>\u00a0on Monday for a drug trafficking ring that allegedly operated out of off-campus houses of Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The former member of Sigma Chi <a href=\"https:\/\/onwardstate.com\/2026\/08\/19\/court-records-show-more-than-123500-in-alleged-drug-payments-to-penn-state-cocaine-ring-ringleader\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">received more than $123,500 in drug payments<\/a>,\u00a0according to Onward State\u2019s review of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.attorneygeneral.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026-08-17-Opr-Drugs-Unlimited-Crim-Complaint_opt.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">grand jury presentment.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abbatiello was paid through five specifically priced cocaine purchases totaling $73,500, as well as more than $50,000 that another witness claimed he paid Abbatiello for drugs. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the case continuing to draw attention across Penn State and online, McLanahan\u2019s has already turned one of the biggest Penn State stories of the year into merchandise available to students and the general public.<\/p>\n<p>\t<img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_7100-e1758483102869-500x500.jpg\" class=\"avatar avatar-full photo\" alt=\"\" scheme=\"https\" decoding=\"async\"  \/>\t<\/p>\n<p>Malea is a senior majoring in Telecommunications and Media Industries with a minor in Digital Media Trends and Analytics.
