A former child actor has filed a lawsuit against Walt Co. alleging that she was \u201crepeatedly raped\u201d and sexually harassed by a man who worked with her during the filming of \u201cThe Poof Point.\u201d <\/p>\n
In a lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Raquel Lee Bolleau says a middle-aged male Disney employee \u201csupplied her with alcohol and pressured her to consume it,\u201d repeatedly raping and assaulting the actor for weeks when she was 14.<\/p>\n
Despite the age gap, Bolleau said, the employee \u2014 referred to as John Doe \u2014 told her, \u201cYou\u2019re old enough. You can handle it.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the complaint, Mr. Doe\u2019s abuse \u201cwas apparent to the adults on Disney\u2019s set,\u201d which is described as \u201cnot safe for children.\u201d<\/p>\n
Representatives for Disney were not immediately available for comment.<\/p>\n
The suit accuses the entertainment giant of violating child labor laws, saying that on multiple occasions, Disney \u201cfailed to protect Ms. Bolleau from Mr. Doe\u2019s repeated rapes, sexual assault, sexual abuse, and sexual harassment.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bolleau, who had roles on UPN\u2019s \u201cMalcolm & Eddie,\u201d Nickelodeon\u2019s \u201cThe Amanda Show\u201d and \u201cDouble Dare 2000,\u201d was instructed to \u201cbuild a relationship and spend time with Mr. Doe\u201d by the film\u2019s director and Disney\u2019s dialogue coach, according to the suit.<\/p>\n
In the movie, Bolleau played the teen daughter of two scientists who build a time machine that malfunctions, forcing the kids to take care of their parents as they \u201cde-age\u201d and become children.<\/p>\n
The suit states that during filming on location in Utah, John Doe invited Bolleau and her guardian to his hotel room and \u201csupplied them with alcohol.\u201d She says in the lawsuit that after she became intoxicated and left, Doe invited her back to his room where he \u201craped and sexually assaulted her.\u201d<\/p>\n
On set, John Doe \u201cregularly fondled and excessively touched Ms. Bolleau, often rubbing his genitals on Ms. Bolleau\u201d and \u201cmade sexually explicit comments about Ms. Bolleau\u2019s body,\u201d the lawsuit says.<\/p>\n
\u201cEven though Mr. Doe\u2019s sexual harassment was in plain view of the cast and crew and could be heard by the sound technicians managing the cast\u2019s microphones, no one at Disney intervened.\u201d<\/p>\n
As a result of the alleged abuse and alcohol consumption, Bolleau\u2019s physical and mental health \u201cchanged dramatically.\u201d On set she was exhausted, \u201coften intoxicated, hungover or vomiting\u201d and in a departure from her work previously, she was \u201cunable to focus and often forgot her lines,\u201d the suit states.<\/p>\n
According to the lawsuit, multiple Disney executives \u201cattacked, blamed, and threatened\u201d Bolleau and her mother for the dramatic shift in her behavior, saying that they were \u201cextremely upset\u201d with her performance.<\/p>\n
Bolleau alleges that her role in a forthcoming Disney production \u201cWeb Girl\u201d was canceled because \u201cshe was not performing.\u201d<\/p>\n
After filming wrapped up and on the flight home to Los Angeles, Doe \u201cdemanded\u201d that Bolleau be seated next to him in first class (her guardian was in economy), where he \u201creached under her pants and sexually assaulted\u201d her, the complaint states.<\/p>\n
Bolleau went home \u201cdevastated, unwell physically and mentally, and forever changed.\u201d She gave up \u201cher dream of being an actress\u201d and for the last 25 years \u201chas struggled with the severe trauma, pain, and distress\u201d suffered as a result of John Doe\u2019s \u201chorrific abuse and Disney\u2019s many failures.\u201d<\/p>\n

Disney has denied such claims.<\/p>\n
