Disney<\/p>\n<p>A disturbing 2023 video showing Paul<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/19\/celebrity-news\/taylor-frankie-paul-speaks-out-after-abc-pulls-the-plug-on-her-bachelorette-season\/?utm_campaign=pagesix&amp;utm_medium=referral\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0throwing chairs at her ex, Dakota Mortensen<\/a>, during a domestic violence incident was leaked on Thursday, leading the network to cancel the upcoming season, which was set to premiere on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Insiders also told the outlet that the five contestants feel that Warner Bros. Discovery, which produced the season, built an unsafe working environment by allowing Paul to be in intimate settings with them given her past history.<\/p>\n<p>On\u00a0Harvey Levin\u00a0and Mark Geragos\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vudD0bUp048\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">\u201c2 Angry Men\u201d podcast<\/a>, the co-hosts explained that some of the men also put their lives on hold, quit their jobs and lost financial opportunities in exchange for exposure on television while competing for Paul\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n<p>However, ABC is already in hot water, as the season\u00a0cancellation is set to cost the network tens of millions, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/19\/entertainment\/the-bachelorette-cancellation-will-lose-tens-of-millions-for-abc-creating-big-headache-for-new-disney-chairman\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">insiders tell Page Six<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>ABC axed the season after a video surfaced of Paul (pictured here with a contestant) throwing chairs at her ex, Dakota Mortensen, during a domestic violence incident was leaked on Thursday. It\u2019s gotta be, with production, $10 to $15 million, maybe more,\u201d the second insider elaborated.<\/p>\n<p>The show also negotiated freebies for clients, such as hotels, that were set to be featured on the show. <\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, a Disney spokesperson confirmed to Page Six that the network was pulling the plug on the \u201cSecret Lives of Mormon Wives\u201d star\u2019s season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of \u2018The Bachelorette\u2019 at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,\u201d they said. <\/p>\n<p>The season (seen here) being\u00a0cancelled will now cost the network tens of millions. Disney<\/p>\n<p>Paul\u2019s (pictured here in a promo shot) season will be replaced by re-runs of \u201cAmerican Idol.\u201d GC Images<\/p>\n<p>The series will instead be replaced by re-runs of \u201cAmerican Idol,\u201d another insider revealed to Page Six.<\/p>\n<p>An industry source told us, \u201cThey had no choice but to pull [the show],\u201d after the video came out. \u201cIt\u2019s a show for women. What woman and what mom is going to watch a woman throwing chairs with a child nearby.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 2023 incident occurred while the TikToker\u2019s daughter Indy, who was 5 at the time, was present in the room.<\/p>\n<p>Paul was arrested at the time and charged with misdemeanor assault, criminal mischief and commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child.  <\/p>\n<p>A rep for Paul (pictured here on March 20) said the leaked video \u201cconveniently omits context.\u201d SL, Terma \/ BACKGRID<\/p>\n<p>A rep for Mortensen, meanwhile,\u00a0denied Paul\u2019s (pictured here) allegations. Paul and Mortensen then called it quits for good in 2024 after welcoming son Ever, 1.<\/p>\n<p>Paul\u2019s rep\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/19\/celebrity-news\/taylor-frankie-paul-addresses-disturbing-video-of-her-attacking-ex-dakota-mortensen\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">said in a statement Thursday<\/a>\u00a0that the video \u201cconveniently omits context\u201d and Mortensen\u2019s \u201cnever-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mortensen, meanwhile,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/19\/celebrity-news\/dakota-mortensen-denies-taylor-frankie-pauls-deeply-upsetting-claims-after-violent-video-surfaces\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">denied her allegations<\/a>, saying, \u201cI am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A rep for ABC and \u201cThe Bachelorette\u201d didn\u2019t immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Their journey for airtime has come to an end.
