De befaamde Safdie-broers maakten met films als Uncut Gems en Good Time veel indruk op menig filmfan. Zes jaar later keren ze individueel terug. Benny Safdies The Smashing Machine verschijnt komende maand in de bioscoop en Josh Safdies<\/a> Marty Supreme<\/a> komt in december uit. Laatstgenoemde film beleefde afgelopen maandag zijn premi\u00e8re tijdens het New York Film Festival.<\/p>\n

De premi\u00e8re van Marty Supreme was een verrassing voor het publiek. Josh Safdie had de film de dag van tevoren om twee uur ’s ochtends afgemaakt. Maar hoe scoort de film?<\/p>\n

De Safdies hebben in het verleden topfilms geleverd, maar het is toch afwachten hoe ze apart te werk gaan. Josh Safdie heeft met zijn sport-epos het publiek van het NYFF overtuigd dat hij ook zonder zijn broer een fantastisch regisseur is.<\/p>\n
