Springsteen en de E Street Band hebben dinsdag 5 mei opgetreden in de UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. De setlist was weer hetzelfde maar het was wel een intense show. Annemie Vermeerbergen was erbij en schreef: \u201cWow! Wat een energie vanavond; van begin tot einde onder de indruk. Heel intens en Bruce was ook vrolijk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Annemie: \u201cDit is een super show, ik was heel ge\u00ebmotioneerd. Tom Morello is ook fantastisch.\u201d<\/p>\n

De UBS Arena is onderdeel van Belmont Park, in Elmont op Long Island, New York. Aan het begin van \u2018Hungry Heart\u2019 spoorde Springsteen het publiek tot meezingen aan door te roepen: \u201cLet Billy [Joel] hear you in Florida.\u201d Tijdens de show riep een dronken bezoeker steeds \u201cObama\u201d. Voor \u2018House of a Thousand Guitars\u2019 zei Bruce wat tegen hem: \u201cTo the guy who keeps yelling out \u2018Obama,\u2019 he\u2019s not fucking here. I don\u2019t know where the fuck he is. Like in Hawaii or something! I\u2019ll do this for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tijdens \u2018Wrecking Ball\u2019 zei Bruce: \u201cLong Island and New Jersey are kind-of the same thing. We were just separated at birth, that is what happened. We are all my fellow bridge and tunnel people here tonight. If you shake up New Jersey like this, it becomes Long Island.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aan het einde van Badlands zag Bruce een bordje met \u201cCinco de Mayo Shot\u201d in het publiek, verwijzend naar de Mexicaanse feestdag. Bruce nam een flesje tequila aan en dronk een slokje.<\/p>\n

Aangezien de show in Philadelphia, die oorspronkelijk voor 8 mei stond gepland maar vanwege een basketbalwedstrijd is verplaatst naar 30 mei, is het volgende concert pas op 11 mei in Madison Square Garden.\u00a0 Het concert in Philadelphia wordt daarmee de tourafsluiting in plaats van Washington.<\/p>\n
