Voorbijgangers ontdekten de brand rond 02.20 uur. Toen de brandweer ter plaatse kwam, stond de auto al volledig in brand. De brandweer heeft het vuur geblust, maar kon niet voorkomen dat de auto geheel uitbrandde.
