Na afloop van de uitschakeling ging de 37-jarige Peri\u0161i\u0107 tegenover Kroatische media in op zijn toekomst bij het nationale elftal. ”Ik hoop dat ik nog steeds beschikbaar ben. Ik ben niet op een leeftijd waarop ik met 100 procent zekerheid kan zeggen dat ik doorga. Maar zolang ik geen blessures oploop, zolang ik gezond ben en zolang ik het verschil kan maken op het veld, zoals ik in dit toernooi weer heb gedaan, denk ik dat ik in het nationale team blijf.
