Kultur, Verket | Verdensstjernen Loreen kommer til Verket: – Har aldri tidligere spilt på norske festivaler

Loreen fra Sverige har vunnet Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) to ganger. På sensommeren kommer hun til Mo i Rana for å spille på Verket, opplyser festivalen i en pressemelding.

– Loreen har aldri tidligere spilt på norske festivaler, så vi kunne ikke vært mer fornøyde med å ha kapret henne til oss, sier festivalsjef Ida Moss.

Det skal for ordens skyld nevnes at Loreen blant annet har spilt på VG-lista i Oslo og i Pride-sammenheng i Norge.

Loreen vant ESC for første gang i 2012 med «Euphoria», i 2023 tok hun seg igjen til topps, da med låten «Tattoo». Samtidig skrev hun musikkhistorie som den første kvinnelige artisten som har vunnet ESC to ganger.

Den svenske artisten fronter ofte budskap om kjærlighet og inkludering. Kunstnerskapet hennes er fylt av spiritualitet med røtter i hennes nomadiske arv, for Loreens musikalske pop-univers er inspirert hennes berberske røtter, med innslag av dance og elektronika som preger lydbildet.
