I 16-tiden mandag fikk politiet melding om et trafikkuhell i et parkeringshus på Apeltun i Fana.
– En bil hadde vært flere ganger i betongveggen, sier Ronny André Øvrebotten, politistasjonssjef ved Bergen sør politistasjon.
Politiet rykket ut. På stedet traff de føreren, en mann i 80-årene.
– Han forklarte at bilen ved flere anledninger skjøt fart uten at han ga gass, altså at det var en teknisk feil ved bilen.
Ifølge Fanaposten skal det være snakk om en elbil. Føreren skal ikke ha kommet til skade.
Politiet har opprettet en straffesak og tatt bilen i beslag.
– Den skal undersøkes på det tekniske, sier Øvrebotten.
Politiet har også undersøkt åstedet og vil se om det finnes overvåkingsmateriale av hendelsen – i håp om at dette kan gi svar.
– Saken vil bli fulgt opp deretter.
