Onsdag klokken 1040 tok et KLM-fly av fra Bergen og satte kursen mot den nederlandske hovedstaden.
På ferden fra Bergen til Amsterdam oppsto det en medisinsk situasjon om bord som gjorde at pilotene sendte ut elektronisk nødmelding, får BA bekreftet av flyselskapet.
Da kan flyplassen og relevante nødetater kan være forberedt til å bistå ved landing. Meldingen ble sendt ut da det var rundt 25 minutter igjen til landing på Schiphol.
– Crewet håndterte dette i tråd med KLMs retningslinjer, og flyet fikk prioritert landing på flyplassen, sier pressetalsperson Tess de Wit til BA.
Flyet landet klokken 1235. Av hensyn til personvern ønsker ikke KLM å si noe om hvilken medisinsk nødssituasjon det er snakk om.
