Plateselskapet ville ikke betale for togbillett hjem til Middlesbrough, og han var utestengt fra \u00e5 kj\u00f8re bil.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_paragraph_o9xde_4 _paragraph_xtcu6_10 layout-component text-serif-m layout-normal text-serif-m layout-padded\">Kona m\u00e5tte kj\u00f8re helt ned til London i en gammel Austin Mini for \u00e5 hente ham ved Abbey Road-studioene. P\u00e5 veien hjem begynte det \u00e5 sn\u00f8, og de satt fast i trafikk gang p\u00e5 gang.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_paragraph_o9xde_4 _paragraph_xtcu6_10 layout-component text-serif-m layout-normal text-serif-m layout-padded\">\u2013 Jeg s\u00e5 p\u00e5 alle de andre sj\u00e5f\u00f8rene, som s\u00e5 s\u00e5 elendige ut. L\u00e5ten \u00abFool (If You Think It&#8217;s Over)\u00bb hadde blitt en hit i USA, og det fulgte med en sjekk p\u00e5 15.000 pund.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_paragraph_o9xde_4 _paragraph_xtcu6_10 layout-component text-serif-m layout-normal text-serif-m layout-padded\">\u2013 Vi gikk fra \u00e5 ha 220 pund igjen til \u00e5 kunne kj\u00f8pe hus, sier Rea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_paragraph_o9xde_4 _paragraph_xtcu6_10 layout-component text-serif-m layout-normal text-serif-m layout-padded\">L\u00e5ten havnet i en boks med uferdige sanger. Ti \u00e5r senere testet han to nye pianoer sammen med keyboardist Max Middleton. De tuller rundt med en Count Basie-aktig melodi, og plutselig passet teksten perfekt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_paragraph_o9xde_4 _paragraph_xtcu6_10 layout-component text-serif-m layout-normal text-serif-m layout-padded\">F\u00f8rst kom sangen ut som B-side, men en DJ snudde plata og begynte \u00e5 spille den.
