Tiger Woodsrecent arrest on DUI charges for a rollover crash in Florida “raised some concerns” for Donald Trump Jr., a source tells PEOPLE.

The president’s eldest son shares five children with his ex-wife and Woods’ current girlfriend, Vanessa Trump. Don and Vanessa divorced in 2018, and she began dating Woods more than a year ago. Don, meanwhile, is now engaged to Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson.

“Don Jr. has been supportive of Tiger and Vanessa, especially when it comes to the kids, which is always his main focus,” the source close to Don and Vanessa tells PEOPLE. “But the recent situation raised some concerns for him.”

The source adds that Don “knows Vanessa can make her own decisions, but they’re a team when it comes to coparenting.”

“He’s just thankful Vanessa and the kids weren’t involved,” the source says.

A spokesperson for Don did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for further comment.

Woods was involved in a rollover crash near Jupiter Island, Fla. — where he lives — at around 2 p.m. on Friday, March 27, Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said at a press conference after the professional golfer was arrested and booked at the county jail. Woods passed a breathalyzer test, but refused to consent to urinalysis to test for narcotics or medications.

The sheriff said Woods was suspected of being impaired by “medication or another substance,” but no drugs or alcohol were found in the vehicle.

President Donald Trump told reporters on the day of the crash that he felt “so badly” that Woods had crashed and called him a “very close friend of mine” and an “amazing person.”

“Amazing man,” Trump, 79, said. “But some difficulty. I don’t want to talk about it.”

Vanessa’s daughters Kai, 18, and Chloe, 11, are golfers, and she also shares three sons with Don: Donald III, 17; Tristan, 14; and Spencer, 13.

Vanessa and Kai were on hand to root for Woods on March 24 as he made his return to golfing after more than a year since his last competition.

A separate source recently told PEOPLE following Woods’ arrest that Vanessa is “happy” in her relationship with the pro golfer, but that she “has her hands full sometimes.”

Woods was previously charged with a DUI in 2017 after he was discovered by police asleep in his car on Jupiter Island. He pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was sentenced to one year of probation.

The golf legend denied he was drunk in a statement in 2017, blaming the incident on “an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications.”
