Laser-focused on what matters, President Donald Trump spent the weekend golfing, which means he also spent the weekend bragging about how he’s the best golfer ever.
As the country crumbles in a nightmare of his own making, Trump self-soothed by hosting a tournament at his own club where he conveniently won, a foregone conclusion that he then went on his own social media network to boast about.

“I won with a score of 70, and am so honored in that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, because I’m focused on many other things. It’s called TALENT, and I have it, and they don’t!” he wrote on Truth Social alongside a video of himself golfing.
The video even has some lackey in the background really bringing home how much this is Dear Leader shit.
“President of the United States. Super Senior and the Senior—he won both, the person says. “That’s amazing. Best president of our lifetime. He won.”
Yes, Trump apparently fake-won a tournament for golfers over 50 and another for golfers over 65. He fake-won the over-50 one last year too, when he even had the White House official account post about it, just to make things feel extra Kim Jong-Il.
But besides pretending that he’s the very best golfer and demanding we all do the same, Trump is also pretending that he plays far less than his opponents. This is, of course, also a hilarious lie.
The man has golfed roughly once every four or five days since retaking office, or 22.1% of his second term. That’s nothing new—he golfed about the same amount during his first term.

Trump golfs nearly every weekend, come hell or high water or wildfires or war or economic catastrophe. He couldn’t even be bothered to attend what was supposed to be one of his signature efforts of Freedom 250, a big prayer jamboree on the National Mall, because he went golfing instead.
If anything, any golfer playing against Trump is at a distinct disadvantage because they’re not able to play golf every day on taxpayers’ dime.
You kind of need to be president to get to blow $10 million of taxpayer money on a visit to one of your overseas golf courses. And you kind of need to be president to strip Washington, D.C., of its public golf courses so you can build another country club where you can cheat to win.

Yes, cheat—because we know he cheats. There’s literally a whole book about it.
There was even a hilarious incident a few years ago where he decided that he was the winner of a self-hosted golf tournament, even though he missed half of it to attend a funeral hundreds of miles away.
Trump is about as genuinely accomplished a golfer as his nepo-baby granddaughter, Kai Trump. Last year, her connection to the president got her into a prestigious LPGA tournament that she had no business being in, and she promptly finished in the bottom.
Like grandpa, like grandbaby.
Meanwhile, everyone in Trump’s orbit will continue to praise him as the greatest golfer ever—just as he’s the greatest leader ever, greatest developer ever, and so on.
But in reality, everything the man touches turns to garbage.
