Gavin Newsom’s Fair Oaks home listed for sale for $7.5 million
Want to live like a California governor?
Gov. Gavin Newsom and first partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom’s gated estate on Tobia Way in Fair Oaks hit the market for $7.5 million, according to a listing with Sotheby’s International Realty.

The 12,663-square-foot residence is “privately positioned along the bluffs on 8.2 acres, where sweeping views and exceptional privacy create a truly rare setting,” according to the listing.
The property near the American River includes a “resort-style” pool with a cold plunge and a hot tub that helps create a “personal wellness oasis just steps from the primary suite.”
There is also a full-sized tennis court, private casita and a 5,000-bottle wine cellar. The garage can hold four cars.
The estate includes seven bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and three partial bathrooms.
KCRA 3 previously reported the Newsoms purchased the property for $3.7 million in December 2018.
In 2024, Newsom’s press secretary announced that the family would split its time between their Sacramento-area home and in Marin County. At the time, a spokesperson said the decision to return to Marin County was related to the Newsoms’ children’s education.
The San Francisco Chronicle later reported the family moved into a home in Kentfield that had sold for $9.1 million.
Oher governors have also lived outside the capital city.
Gov. Jerry Brown commuted from Oakland for part of his time in office. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger commuted from Los Angeles throughout his time in office.
Newsom’s term as California governor ends in January 2027.
