According to the president, Bars interceptor drones have already demonstrated their first results. The drones have successfully carried out strikes, while their current success rate in shooting down aerial targets stands at around 30%.

Zelenskyy noted that interceptor drones are being developed not only as part of the Bars program. Other drones are also gradually going through the necessary stages, and the president expressed hope that constructive competition will emerge among manufacturers.

According to Zelenskyy, these drones already have a range “almost like missiles.”

Ukraine to receive 2,000 Bars interceptors

The president also spoke about agreements with Germany on the production of interceptor drones.

Ukraine is set to receive 2,000 Bars interceptors, which will be produced as part of joint manufacturing. According to Zelenskyy, Germany has already provided funding for the program.

At the same time, Ukraine is also working on other ways to counter aerial targets.

What is known about the small missile program

Another area is the small missile program. Zelenskyy did not disclose its name or the manufacturers involved, but said the first results are expected as early as this month.

For now, these missiles are not being used on a large scale. However, if the results are successful, Ukraine will be able to quickly increase the number of orders.

Turrets are being developed to protect facilities

Another area mentioned by Zelenskyy is a turret program, which Ukraine has only recently begun to develop on a full scale.

Ukraine plans to install dozens of such turrets at various facilities. They will be used to strengthen infrastructure protection against aerial attacks.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine was testing five models of high-speed interceptor drones to counter jet-powered Shaheds.

By the end of October, around 400 interceptors of one of the models are expected to be produced.
