The President of the United States on the Italian prime minister: “She doesn’t want to get involved even though she gets her oil from there. I was wrong, I thought she had courage. Leo XIV? He shouldn’t talk about war, he has no idea what’s happening in Iran.”

NEW YORK – «Do they like the fact that your president isn’t giving us any help in getting the oil? Do they like that? – President Donald Trump asked in an exclusive phone interview with Italian newspaper Corriere della sera – I can’t imagine that. I’m shocked at her (Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni) I thought she had courage, but I was wrong».

Have you talked to her about this?
«No, she just says Italy doesn’t want to get involved, even though Italy gets their oil from there, even though America is very important for Italy. She doesn’t think that Italy should get involved, she thinks America should do the job for her, she should not be involved».

Regarding the Pope, she stated that what you said is unacceptable.
«She’s unacceptable. She’s unacceptable because she doesn’t mind that Iran has a nuclear weapon and would blow up Italy in two minutes if they had the chance».

Did you have a conversation with her about this issue?
«No, no».

You haven’t talked to her this whole month?
«No, not in a long time. No».

Why?
«Because she doesn’t want to help us with Nato. She doesn’t want to help get rid of a nuclear weaponed Iran. Very sad… She’s much different than I thought».

In Europe she way your best ally, together with Orbán. Do you think that things will change now?
«No. Europe’s going in the wrong direction on immigration, and they’re destroying themselves, eating themselves from within. Their immigration policies are destroying Europe. It’s no longer the same place, and very sad to see it. And they’re hurting themselves very badly with energy. They pay the highest energy costs in the world and they are not even willing to fight for the Hormuz Strait, which is where they get their energy. They rely on Donald Trump to keep it open».

Did you ask to send the minesweepers that we have to help?
«I asked to send anything they want, but they don’t want to, because Nato is a paper tiger… She (Giorgia Meloni, ndr) is not the same person, Italy is not the same country. Immigration is killing Italy and all of Europe. And also energy prices. You have the highest energy prices in the world, in the world you pay the most. You love windmills, you put windmills all over the place. Do you know what a windmill means?».

What does it mean?
«Bad, bad energy at the highest price».

Well, maybe we’ll buy some more oil from the US now…
«Well, I don’t know, maybe, but they better wise up fast, because you won’t have an Italy. You won’t have an Italy. I was surprised to see that she choked. She was afraid to go into danger. There was no danger because I took care of it. The whole country is beaten, they’re beaten…. so you I don’t need their help, but for them to be not thankful is rather incredible. But anyway…».

What do you think will happen with Iran now?
«They will not be happy. Let me put it this way: Iran is not happy right now. They will be unhappier all the time. We have Iran in good shape, but we got no help from Italy or Nato».

The Pope has been asking for peace, but you said it is not acceptable to tolerate a nuclear Ian and that the Pope doesn’t understand that…
«No, he doesn’t understand that, he is not the guy that should be talking about war, because he has no idea what is going on. He doesn’t understand that in Iran they killed 42,000 protesters last month. He doesn’t understand that, does he?».

Were you upset about Orban in Hungary losing the election?
«Well, he was a friend of mine. I mean, it wasn’t my election, but he was a friend of mine. He’s a good man, he was a good man. He did a good job on immigration: he didn’t let people come in and ruin his country like Italy has».
