A political analyst has suggested that Donald Trump’s White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt may be on thin ice. Already this year, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Attorney General Pam Bondi have been ousted from their positions. Senior counterterrorism figure Joe Kent resigned, alongside former Trump ally and Congresswoman Majorie Taylor Greene.
As rumors swirl that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who is married to a notably younger husband with a significant age difference, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth could also be on the chopping block, attention has turned to Trump’s inner circle.
Political scientist Christopher Lee shared with us that the critical moment for Karoline’s possible exit may have already passed, and her departure could echo that of ex-press secretary Sean Spicer, who left after becoming a figure of mockery. This comes as reports emerge that Trump attempted to obtain US nuclear launch codes – before a terrified general stopped him with a brutal 1-word response.

Christopher, who brings 25 years of communications experience backing Democratic political campaigns, stated: “When Sean Spicer became the joke, almost from the jump, Trump felt they were laughing at him.

“For Leavitt, the break may already have come. It starts with the Jesus meme where she told Trump to say the photo was ‘doctored’ and Trump said he thought he looked like ‘a doctor’.” Mr. Lee pointed to further examples where Karoline has had to stand by Trump, including his Truth Social message vowing to obliterate Iran and his heavily criticized remarks about Barack Obama earlier this year, reports the Express US.
Christopher also observed Trump’s history of “firing disposable staff” and later insisting he was simply joking when perhaps that wasn’t the case.
He stated: “But look at Trump’s quote on 31 March, it’s telling and is part of his MO in firing disposable staff. It was where he said Leavitt was doing a ‘terrible job’ and claims he was joking when he further asked whether they should ‘keep her’ during a press avail at the White House. Again, while he claims he was joking, he’s made the same joke in the past.”
What maintains Karoline in her role, Christopher contends, is her combative style when dealing with journalists.

He elaborated: “However, there is always a breaking point for Trump. People will argue whether that’s because Trump gets bored or until the media pushes back harder making Leavitt, and by extension Trump, look weak, unintelligent and out of her depth. Again, that’s happened already. And that why my honest opinion is that Leavitt exists on borrowed time.”
However, Christopher isn’t the only one forecasting possible exits from Trump’s closest advisers. Former U.S. diplomat and University of Michigan-Dearborn lecturer Michael J Montgomery has suggested that both Pete Hegseth and Tulsi Gabbard could also be shown the door. Speaking following Trump’s threat to obliterate Iran, but ahead of the ceasefire that temporarily brought hostilities to a halt, Michael told the Mirror US that Tulsi Gabbard could be the first to be ousted between her and Pete Hegseth, ” because Trump is much more prone to firing women than men”.
He went on to say: “Hegseth is likely to follow shortly thereafter – especially if the career military people don’t implement each and every Trump order no matter how illegal or deranged.”
