President Trump on Tuesday said his Miami presidential library will “most likely” have a hotel attached.
“It’s gonna be most likely a hotel, you know? This concept could be office, but it’s most likely gonna be a hotel with a beautiful building underneath and a 747 Air Force One in the lobby,” the president told reporters in the Oval Office.
He said the project would be completed on time, month after ripping former President Obama for being behind on the construction of his presidential library in Chicago.
“I think you’re gonna see a great one here and it’ll go up on time, on budget, best location in Miami,” Trump told reporters.
“They say it’s the best block in Miami and the state worked with us,” he added.
Trump’s son, Eric, is helping with the new real estate development on a property donated by Florida and Miami Dade College.
Eric Trump recently told the Miami Herald there would be no apartments or condominiums in the building and also shared renderings of the proposed presidential library on the social platform X.
“Over the past six months, I have poured my heart and soul into this project with my incredible team at @Trump,” Eric Trump wrote in a Monday post on X.
“This landmark on the water in Miami, Florida will stand as a lasting testament to an amazing man, an amazing developer, and the greatest President our Nation has ever known. These images have never been seen by the public — until today. Enjoy,” he added.
Eric Trump serves as executive vice president of the family’s real estate company, the Trump Organization, and frequently helps develop new projects tied to their surname.
He played a key role in securing the approval of a $3 billion condo development at the Trump National Doral resort in Miami last year.
The family is also planning to add a casino to the property, according to reports.
