According to the report, unnamed sources alleged that Trump has “shut down” any discussion of using the White House as a wedding venue for Donald Jr. Celebrity columnist Rob Shutter also cited insiders suggesting the President did not view the occasion as suitable for such a high-profile setting.
One quote cited in the story claims, “Donald Trump Jr. isn’t important enough to the President, not for something on that level”.
“In his father’s mind, the White House stage is reserved for moments that elevate him and the Trump brand. This doesn’t do either,” they added.
