SoftBank Group is preparing to establish and list a new AI and robotics entity called Roze in the United States to facilitate the construction of data centers, as reported by Detik Finance on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

The Japanese investment conglomerate is reportedly targeting a $100 billion valuation for the venture. Executives within the company have indicated that the public offering for Roze could take place as early as this year.

Masayoshi Son, the founder and CEO of SoftBank, is driving the effort to list the business to balance the company’s financial obligations. These commitments include significant pledges made to OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT.

The move comes as OpenAI itself prepares for a potential initial public offering that may value the organization at $1 trillion. The AI sector is experiencing intensified competition as new rivals like Anthropic continue to gain traction.

SoftBank is currently spearheading the financing for the Stargate project, which focuses on the development of data centers within the United States. This initiative aligns with the company’s broader push into digital infrastructure.

The group’s portfolio already includes various strategic investments in the automation and infrastructure sectors. These holdings feature the robotics division of ABB and the digital infrastructure investment firm known as DigitalBridge.
