While Donald spent the weekend at Mar-a-Lago and his Doral Miami golf club, he once again fueled speculation about his health with a trip to the dentist, according to the White House press pool. His press team said the visit was “scheduled,” but it did not appear on Donald’s public schedule.
Though seemingly innocuous, the trip left observers with questions about why Donald would travel to Florida for a dental visit when he could easily have had a dentist come to the White House.
“There’s been such lack of candor about the health of the president that even a visit to the dentist raises questions,” said Dr. Jonathan Reiner on X. “The WH has a dental operatory (Pres Biden had a root canal there) so why a Sat morning visit in Florida? Maybe he just likes this dentist,” he continued.

The White House has consistently been cagey over Donald’s various medical maladies, preferring instead to insist to the press that “President Trump is the sharpest, most accessible, and energetic president in modern American history.” (Of note, Donald has regularly been filmed falling asleep in cabinet meetings and in Oval Office appearances throughout his second term.)
For months, the White House lied about the cause of the consistent visible bruising on Donald’s hands. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt initially said the mark was from Donald “shaking hands all day.” It wasn’t until Donald revealed that he was using a high daily dose of aspirin as a blood thinner that the questions around the bruising subsided — though the bruises and the White House’s attempts to hide the spots with makeup have persisted.

There has been less secrecy around Donald’s cankles. Donald was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency last July, which can cause a person’s ankles to swell.
Donald told the Wall Street Journal that he tried wearing compression socks to manage the look of his ankles, but stopped because he “didn’t like them.”
Donald is overdue for a physical. His last appointment was on April 11, 2025.
