President Donald Trump has touched down in China for his anticipated summit with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, accompanied by a less familiar face in his entourage.
This three-day visit marks the first encounter between a U.S. president and China’s leader since Trump’s previous trip in 2017. Trump aims to negotiate political agreements with Xi Jinping, particularly focusing on increased Chinese purchases of American agricultural products and aircraft.
First Lady Melania is absent from this journey, despite accompanying her husband during the 2017 visit. Instead, Trump has assembled a diverse delegation that includes son Eric Trump, daughter-in-law Lara Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and prominent business leaders such as Tim Cook and Elon Musk.
Lara recently shared a photograph featuring several members of the traveling party, which included a woman unfamiliar to many observers. However, her behind-the-scenes contributions are likely more recognizable than her appearance.

Who is the blonde woman traveling to China with Trump?
The blonde woman visible in the photograph is Natalie Harp, Trump’s executive assistant. According to the Wall Street Journal, she’s the force behind Trump’s prolific Truth Social activity.
Trump has gained notoriety for his late-night social media marathons on his platform, with some sessions featuring over 50 posts. During Monday’s flurry of activity, his account generated 17 posts within a single hour, including multiple reshares from supporters proclaiming him the “greatest president ever.”
One post showed a banner on a vehicle that read: “Trump is without a doubt the greatest president we have ever known.” Another displayed an AI-generated image of Trump overlaid with gold cursive text declaring: “The Greatest of All Time.”
The account published 55 messages between 10:14 p.m. and 1:12 a.m.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump may have assistance with these posts. Sources familiar with the situation told the publication that Harp occasionally handles the posting process.

Insiders revealed to the outlet that Harp prints stacks of drafted social media content for the president’s review and approval. She then reportedly accesses his account and uploads batches of Trump-sanctioned posts at once.
This process allegedly included the racist images depicting former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michele Obama as apes that were posted and removed on February 5, as well as the AI-generated image showing Trump portrayed as Jesus Christ that was posted and deleted on April 12.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung told the WSJ that the “internal deliberations of how the process works” are not discussed with him.
“Truth Social has never been hotter, and it’s because President Trump offers his unfiltered and direct thoughts to the American people, without the biased media taking him out of context,” Cheung stated. “We don’t discuss internal deliberations of how the process works, but no other social-media tool has been more effective than Truth.”
Who is Natalie Harp?
Harp, 35, has served as executive assistant to the president since January 2025. A former television presenter, she joined Trump’s communications team in 2022 and quickly became a regular fixture on his daily golf outings.
According to Alex Isenstadt’s book Revenge: The Inside Story of Trump’s Return to Power, she has earned the nickname “human printer” due to her habit of carrying a wireless printer to supply Trump with news articles while on the move.
A California native, Harp is a bone cancer survivor who publicly backed Trump at the 2020 Republican National Convention.
