The Trump Mobile T1 phone faced delays after the company realized large-scale smartphone manufacturing would not be feasible in the U.S., according to CNET.
The company now says the phones are “designed with American values in mind,” and will use components primarily manufactured in the U.S.
To order the T1 phone, which runs on an Android operating system, customers must join a waiting list and pay a $100 refundable deposit. The phone is currently being sold for a promotional price of $499.
It is unclear how many people have paid the deposit and are on the waiting list.
Trump Mobile is also selling refurbished Apple and Samsung phones on its website.
Trump Mobile’s 5G “47 Plan” is available for $47.45.
The plan includes unlimited talk, text and data, complete device protection, 24/7 roadside assistance through Drive America, telehealth services and free international calling to more than 100 countries, according to Trump Mobile.
Family and military plans are also available.
