Donald Trump Jr. married Bettina Anderson in the Bahamas over Memorial Day weekend, a wedding that sparked significant controversy. And it was not necessarily because of who was getting married, but because of who attended and who didn’t. President Trump announced he would be skipping the event, citing the demands of the presidency, but he wasn’t the only one. Despite older siblings Ivanka, Eric, and Tiffany attending, Barron Trump also skipped his older brother’s wedding.
RadarOnline.com is reporting that Barron, his father, and his mother, Melania, skipped the ceremony altogether. People, however, reports that President Trump and first lady Melania are hoping to host a celebration for the couple at the White House. No reason for Barron’s absence was given.

Trump Jr. and Anderson reportedly married in a private ceremony on May 21 at the West Palm Beach home of Bettina’s sister, Kristina McPherson, according to a marriage certificate obtained by the Daily Mail. Then they headed to the Bahamas for a celebration that included close friends and family. The list was reportedly kept deliberately small amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Reportedly, the two got married in Norman’s Cay in the Exumas, one of the Bahamas’ most luxurious destinations, only accessible by charter plane or private boat.
After the wedding, Anderson shared a couple of romantic posts on Instagram Stories. One was a black-and-white photo of the wedding bands, with the caption “Forever yours, forever mine,” alongside a white heart emoji.
She later posted, “The whole point is to marry your best friend.”
The wedding family drama comes after reports that Barron doesn’t really get along with Trump’s other kids, Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany. The oldest three were born first, from Trump’s marriage to Ivana Trump. Tiffany, meanwhile, is the daughter of Trump’s second wife, Marla Maples. Barron is Melania and Donald Trump’s only son.
RadarOnline recently reported that Barron and his siblings don’t really get along, and Melania is partly to blame. One Reddit user wrote: “Barron is less than half their age and the son of his dad’s third wife. They never lived together or spent much meaningful time together, the way siblings usually do.”
When Barron turned 20, his older siblings were reportedly not invited to the party. And according to Rob Shuter, that wasn’t a mistake. “They’re not close — at all,” one source told Shuter. “This wasn’t an oversight. They were left off the list.”
“Melania is in charge, and she wanted this to be about Barron — not about Donald Trump, and not about his other children,” an insider said. “This was a small, controlled, private celebration,” the source added. “And certain people were simply not included.”
Sources also told the Hollywood insider, “Barron didn’t grow up with them in the same way,” adding, “There isn’t a real bond there.”
And Melania was said to have no interest in pretending otherwise. “She’s always kept Barron separate,” the source said. “This just made it obvious.” If one needs a reason why she and her son didn’t attend Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding, there’s one right there.
