Anthropic has submitted initial public offering paperwork to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, projecting a valuation above US$1 trillion. This transaction intensifies competition within the AI market, directly impacting institutional investors, technology enterprises, and global critical infrastructure operators.

Anthropic has submitted a draft registration statement to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to initiate its initial public offering, reports The Financial Times. This regulatory movement positions the AI developer to enter public markets with an anticipated valuation exceeding US$1 trillion.

The capital market debut aims to secure long-term infrastructure funding and satisfy accelerating enterprise demand. Krishna Rao, Chief Financial Officer, Anthropic, outlines the corporate capitalization strategy following a US$65 billion Series H financing round that established a post-money valuation of US$965 billion. “We will utilize this capital to advance our safety and interpretability research, continue to expand our compute footprint, and scale the products and partnerships our customers rely on,” says Rao.

The decision by Anthropic to enter public equity markets occurs during intense competition for institutional capital among dominant AI laboratories. Fortune reports that market analysts at Wedbush Securities indicate that this filing represents a strategic action to precede OpenAI, which is preparing an imminent confidential registration.

OpenAI holds a private valuation of US$852 billion, while SpaceX published its initial public offering prospectus last month to target a market listing at a valuation of US$1.75 trillion.

The commercial valuation of Anthropic has expanded 15-fold over previous months, rising from a valuation of US$60 billion in March 2025. In late May 2026, the corporation secured US$65 billion in Series H funding from prominent investors, including Capital Group, Baillie Gifford, and Sequoia Capital. This capital deployment drove the post-money market value of Anthropic to US$965 billion, surpassing the estimated valuation of OpenAI.

This fiscal trajectory is supported by rapid revenue acceleration. The annualized revenues of Anthropic increased fivefold since the beginning of the fiscal year, exceeding US$47 billion last month. This business growth reflects widespread corporate adoption of dedicated enterprise software tools.

Anthropic has secured strategic operational agreements to sustain the massive computational infrastructure that is required to train and deploy advanced AI models. The corporation established long-term infrastructure contracts with Google, Broadcom, and Amazon that are valued at hundreds of billions of dollars.

Furthermore, Anthropic entered a leasing agreement last month to secure two massive data center campuses from SpaceX, a transaction requiring an operational expenditure of US$15 billion annually.

Corporate Leadership and Enterprise Security Expansion

Dario Amodei, CEO, Anthropic, is overseeing the Form S-1 registration process alongside Rao. Before joining the company in May 2024, Rao directed corporate financial planning at Airbnb, where he managed the acquisition of more than US$10 billion during its initial public offering. Rao also holds prior investment experience from Blackstone.

Analysts at Wedbush Securities note that confidential submissions safeguard sensitive operational performance statistics from public inspection while the regulatory body completes its assessment.

The primary revenue streams for the corporation originate from its dedicated B2B product portfolio, specifically the Claude Code development platform and the Claude Cowork digital assistant. However, the most critical technological advancement influencing corporate strategy is Claude Mythos, a specialized model featuring sophisticated cybersecurity capabilities that has drawn close evaluation from sovereign governments and financial institutions.

According to an official announcement from Anthropic, the corporation has expanded Project Glasswing, an extensive collaborative program designed to identify vulnerabilities in critical software architectures. The corporation began the initial phase of Project Glasswing in April 2026, granting about 50 specialized partner organizations access to the Claude Mythos Preview platform.

During the initial weeks of deployment, these entities utilized the model to audit corporate codebases, identifying more than 10,000 security flaws categorized as high or critical severity.

Anthropic Project Glasswing expansion will incorporate about 150 additional organizations spanning more than 15 nations. The new cohort introduces critical infrastructure sectors that lacked representation during the initial phase, including electrical power networks, water distribution facilities, healthcare systems, telecommunications providers, and hardware manufacturers. Many new participants are software vendors maintaining codebases utilized by external corporations and sovereign entities.

Anthropic estimates that a successful cyberattack on the codebase of any single partner could yield catastrophic consequences, potentially affecting more than 100 million individuals and disrupting national security. To lower these risks, every applicant must satisfy rigorous corporate security protocols before obtaining system authorization.

As an interim deployment mechanism for broader markets, the corporation released Claude Security, a commercially available tool that leverages public frontier models, such as Claude Opus 4.8, to scan software repositories and automatically recommend security patches.

The technical division at Anthropic projects that between six and 12 months, competing technology companies will develop equivalent models and potentially distribute them without operational safeguards. Consequently, the long-term corporate framework emphasizes shifting from basic vulnerability identification to the automated disclosure, remediation, and deployment of verified patches across open-source ecosystems.
